Correct: AbdurRahman decided to travel to the Middle East. Wrong: The registrar tried to sent you a telegram. Correct: The registrar tried to send you a telegram. Wrong: The villagers wanted to extended the boundaries of their land Correct: The villagers wanted to extend the boundaries of their land The use of to in these examples shows that the verb which follows is an infinitive. Nothing may be added to an infinitive in any circumstances:
