After the death of man, his stay in the Barzakh (the existence after this world but before the hereafter, for as long as Allaah wills) we as Muslims believe in Resurrection. They wonder ... Some people had wondered over generations what their lot would be after death. Being overwhelmed by the complexities of their physiological or structural build up (his eyes, ears, brains etc) they wonder how the system could be brought back into existence after death and after the flesh and bones have decayed. Thus, they say:
" ... When we are bones and fragment s (destroyed), should we really be resurrected (to be) a new creation?"(Q17: 49)
Elsewhere in the Quraan
Allaah refers to this conjecture:
"He say’s who will give life to these bones after they are rotten and have become dust?" (Q36:78)
They Boast ... Sometimes, mankind looks at what he has done - buildings, cars, telecommunication systems, space shuttles and others- and he begins to prance about with pride saying,
There is nothing but our life of this world, we die and we live and nothing destroys us except Ad-Dahr (time) " (Q45:24)
Resurrection is sure
The fact that creation shall be brought back to existence is not to be doubted. Never!!! Concerning this Allaah commands His Messenger to swear to the people that resurrection is sure. He says,
"Those who disbelieve say, the hour will not come to us. Say, Yes, by my Lord, the AII-Knower of the unseen, it will come to you ... "(Q34:3).
He also says:
"The disbelievers pretend that they will never be resurrected. Say (O Muhammad!), Yes! By my Lord you will certainly be resurrected ... " (Q64:7)
Even as Stones and Iron
For the confused one who wonders and the arrogant boaster who denies resurrection outright; Allaah says:
"Say (O Muhammad!)Be you stones or iron or some created thing that is yet greater (or harder)in your breasts (thoughts to be resurrected even then you shall be resurrected) . Then they will say, who shall bring us back (to life)? Say, He who created you first! " (Q17:50-51)
Allaah says, "
Say: (O Muhammad) "He will give life to them who created them for the first time! And He is the All Knower of every creation! He, who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! You kindle therewith. Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator." (Q36:79-81)
How? Allaah says:
"And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e. from your graves for reckoning and recompense)." (Q30:35).
Also he says,
"Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is!"(Q36:82).
When? The wonders of the one who wonders are explained and the boasts of the disbelieving arrogant boaster are punctured. For Allaah says:
"Then they will shake their heads at you and say, when will that be? say, Perhaps it is near!" (Q17:51).
