Resurrection Is True

After basically discussing aspects of the belief in Allaah, we shall explain the fact of the truth of resurrection. Creation shall be resurrected by Allaah its original creator - based on the Quraan, the hadeeth, and the statements of the pious predecessors.

SOME PROOFS: Whoever believes in Allaah and His Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] and His Book which He revealed, has no choice but to believe in what He - The Most High- has told us about resurrection, reckoning and punishment. Thus, the belief in Allaah that He is All Able and All Knowing is one of the greatest proofs for the truth of Resurrection. So, Allaah says, "Those who disbelieve say, The Hour will not come to us. Say, Yes, By my Lord, The All Knower of the unseen, it will come to you. ", [Q 4: 3].

He also says, "And they ask you (the Day of Resurrection)? Say, Yes! By my Lord! It is the very . truth! And you can not escape it! "[Q10: 53}. In other parts of the Quraan Allaah describes the first creation as evidence for the truth of resurrection. He says, "And man (the disbeliever) says, When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive? Does man not remember that We created him before while he was nothing?" {Q 19:66-67}.

He SWT says, "See they not how Allah originates the creation, and then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for AIlaah. Say, Travel in the sea and land and see how AIlaah will bring forth the creation of the Hereafter (i.e. Resurrection after Death). Verily Allah is Able to do all things. "{Q29:19-20]. So did He - Glory be to Him - establish the truth of resurrection by the fact that - The One who is able to create greater things is able to create lesser things. He says, "Do they not see that AIlaah who created the heavens and the Earth and as not wearied by their creation is Able to give life to the dead? Yes, He surely is able to do all things." {Q 46:.33}.

The story of Uzair

Ishaaq Ibn Bishr reported, on the authority of Ibn Abbas and others, that Uzair was a saint and a wise man. He went out one day to his own farm, as was his custom. About noon he came to a deserted, ruined place and felt the heat. He entered the ruined town and dismounted his donkey, taking figs and grapes in his basket. He went under the shade of the khaiba tree and ate his food. Then he got up to look at what remained of the ruins. The people had long been lost, and he saw bones. "Oh! How will Allah ever bring it to life after its death?" [2: 259] He said this not out of doubt but out of curiosity. Allaah sent the Angel of Death to take his life. He remained dead for one hundred years. After the one hundred years had passed Allaah resurrected him in order for him to feel and see how Allaah revives the dead.

The angel said: "For how long did you sleep?" He said: "A day or part of a day." He said this because he knew he had slept early in the afternoon and woke up late in the afternoon. The angel said: "You remained asleep for one hundred years." He ate and drank the food which he had prepared before he was overtaken by that long sleep. Then the angel revived his donkey. Almighty Allaah says: "And look at your donkey! And thus We have made of you a sign for the people.

Look at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was clearly shown to him he said: "I know (now) that Allah is able to do all things. "[Q 2: 259] Based on these sets of verses, al-lmam Ibn Abee lzz [RH] says, "Allaah tells us that the One who initiated the creation of the heavens and the earth with their majestic proportions can revive bones after they have turned to dust and restore them to the way they were before.
