"Cursing a believer is like killing him" (Bukhari]. He also said; "It is not befitting for a truthful person that he engages in cursing."
CURSING [HERE]
Cursing is the act of using words or statements meant to be evil. Against the person that it is directed at. It is not permissible for a Muslim to curse anyone or animal or anything at that. Allaah and His Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] forbade cursing for us. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, "Cursing a believer is like killing him"[Bukhari].
He also said; "It is not befitting for a truthful person that he engages in cursing" In a narration, the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] is reported to have punished a woman who cursed her camel because it made her fall. It is also reported that the Prophet was on a journey and an Ansari woman was on her camel. The camel made her angry and she cursed it. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] heard that and said to her "Take away whatever [load] is on it and release it because it is cursed"[Muslim] The greatest or the worst of curses is that which is directed at the religion or insulting it. The same thing applies if a person curses the book of Allaah or a verse in the Book of Allaah or cursing the Angels or an Angel whoever does this has become a disbeliever.
CURSING [HEREAFTER]
1.NO INTERCESSION: The person who engages in cursing and insulting will be deprived of the opportunity of interceding neither will he be allowed to be a witness. The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said; "The one who curses will not be allowed to intercede neither will he be allowed to be a witness on the Day of Judgement" [Muslim]
2.EVIL-DOING: Engaging in cursing makes a person a disbeliever [minor disbelief]. "The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, "Insulting a Muslim is evil-doing and killing him is disbelief" [Bukhari]
3.TOTAL DISBELIEF: As has been mentioned above, to curse the religion or insulting it be it the Book of Allaah, the Angels, or the prophet. This takes one outside the fold of Islam.
