ARE THERE NAWAAFIL AFTER SALAATUL JUMAAH?
ANSWER: Alhamdulilah. All praise is due to Allah. We seek His blessings on Prophet Muhammad. It is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer nawaafiI after the jumaa prayer. Ibn Umar said "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two rakats before the Dhur prayer and two rakats after it. He also used two rakats after the Maghrib prayer in the house, and two rakats after the Isha prayer. He never prayed after the Friday prayer unti I he departed (from the mosque)and he would pray two rakats at home."(Sahih Bukhari).
From this, it is clear that praying nawafil (voluntary prayers) after the Jumaa is established in the sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be u on him). It is also clear that praying the nawafil at home is the best both for the jumaa and all other nawafils. ( There are also some other, authentic narrations that state that one should pray four rakats. For example, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is to pray after the Friday prayer should pray four rakats. "(Muslim.)
After considering all the evidences, scholars have concluded that what is most correct is that one should pray two rakats in his house after the jumaa prayer. But if one chooses to pray at the mosque he should pray four rakats. Can a young man who isﾕ not married masturbate to save himself from committing illegal sex The scholars of Islam have concluded that it is not permissible for anyone to do it according to the evidences that are available in the Quran and the ahadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah says when describing the believers: "And those who guard their private parts (against illegal sexual intercourse) except from their wives or those whom their right hand posses (their slaves For them there is no blame on them. Whoever goes beyond these they are those who are transgressors". (Q70:29-31).
From this, the scholars of Islam have concluded that any other sexual act with any other person or in any other way is prohibited. These include homosexual ism, bisexuality, bestiality, lesbianism, masturbation e.t.c. Allah has provided a way out of this for young Muslim youths who feel the urge for sex in the institution of marriage. The Prophets (peace and blessings be upon him) advised the youths as regards their urge ;O young people! Whoever among you is able to marry, should marry, and whoever is not able to marry is recommended to fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power: (Sahih Bukhari).
This hadith contains two clear e advices to youths who find themselves in this situation: Marriage or fasting. The Rasul (peace and blessings be upon him) did not advice or recommend masturbation. So in conclusion my brother, masturbation is not permissible rather we should get married as early as possible. or we keep on fasting to reduce the wage until Allah gives us the means to get married.
