They are Muslims as you are Muslims, the only difference is that they lived in the past and you live in the present. Here are five attitudes you should have towards them and the accounts of their lives.
REALITY: These are not mere stories or history, but real cases and real people. Allah mentions and recognises them as champions of the faith (Q8:72)
EXEMPLARY: They showed examples of how to live and be obedient to Allah and His Messenger (Q33:23;Q47:33).
DEVOTION AND HUMILITY: They abandoned comfort and enjoyment for devotion and humility, for constantly, "they fall down on their faces in tears, and it increases their (earnest) humility." (Q17:109).
VICTORY: Allah gave them victory in all their actions, because they submitted sincerely, “...He gave you victory over them..:" (Q48:24)
STILL ALIVE: Even those who lost their lives for Allah's sake were saved! They did not die: “...No, they are living. Though you do not understand ...” (Q2:154)
You too can stay alive with five alive by turning the reality of your life to devotion and humility as examples to others; then victories will be yours and you will live forever. Then pray as they did: “...Our Lord! forgive us our sins blot out from us our injustices and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous." (Q3:193)
