Shaytan has lost hope in confusing the faithful in the major- strands of his faith, let them however be-on guard in the smaller and unassuming things through which Shaytan cashes in. He first introduces into a faithful's heart a feeling of self-worth and importance, then your good deeds appear much more like shining stars.
Acknowledgement of your presence at a gathering seem to your mind a great slight. Certain good deeds drop below your dignity; so do certain classes of people. When you begin to see Allah's favour as the fruit of your powers and professionalism, the seeds of self - worth and arrogance are growing. Shaytan became the enemy of Allah and of His creatures on account of that. He merely intends to infect you with his disease. Seek immunity, think about your humble beginning (from a dirty fluid) and your eventual end (an eventual food for maggot). Call to mind that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
"He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard, seed of pride will not enter Paradise. "(Muslim)
Exorcise yourself of it before it is done in Hell. Checkmate Shaytan here and now.
